For the 2023-24 season, I revamped a number of key graphic elements for the Blades’ in-arena screens. In addition to a jumbotron, SaskTel Centre also has an LED collar below the big screen and LED ribbons on either end of the rink.

Although the team’s logo is meant to represent a skate blade, it has long been known as the “Pacman” due to its resemblance to the classic arcade character. Using this as inspiration, the theme for many of the in-arena motion graphics was old school video games, most notably the Goal prompt and the team matchup.

All of the following motion graphics were created with a combination of Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D.
